1. The Challenge

Translating the Essence of a Unique Origin Into Brand Language

In Río Mayo, Chubut, the Mazquiarán family discovered that their ranch was home to natural mineral springs on certified organic land. A pure source that, shaped by the ancestral rhythm of the Patagonian wind, continues to produce water of outstanding quality.

The project called for developing everything from the brand naming to the packaging design for this exceptional water, capturing the serene, calm spirit typical of Patagonia. The brand had the opportunity to tell its own story through a three-dimensional identity that would stand apart from the major players in the category.

When we met Tridimage, we went in to share our dream with them. We talked about the organic land, the natural spring we'd discovered, and the purity of the water. We wanted to build a sustainable plant that respected the environment. On top of that, we had to factor in the climate: PET behaves differently in sub-zero temperatures, so those technical details were part of the conversation from day one. We had the vision, but we needed someone who could interpret it. At every meeting, the whole team brought ideas to the table; it was truly a joint creative effort.

2. The Solution

3D Branding, a Synergy Between Structure and Visual Design

We worked through collaborative sessions with the Mazquiarán family, where the entire team contributed ideas. Out of five naming proposals came Orizon, a play on words in which the Patagonian "horizon" drops its "H" to embrace what's "organic".

We applied our 3D Branding approach to the packaging design to achieve full synergy between structure and graphics. The custom-profiled PET bottle cradles the product like a treasure, setting it apart from mass-produced waters.

The label, meanwhile, evokes the horizon line fading into the plateau, with blue, white, and silver tones that reinforce the water's purity. The native guanaco, a symbolic guardian, was added as a distinctive icon for a brand with authentic roots.

3. The Results

15 Years Later, a Brand Asset That's Still Relevant

Orizon has been on the market for 15 years without a single redesign. The bottle remains just as relevant today with its original silhouette, and it's recognized at a glance throughout Patagonia. It even travels on board LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado) flights that connect the region.

The 3D design has become a genuine distinctive asset for the brand. Orizon has picked up multiple industry awards, expanded into new markets, and now stands alongside the family's next chapter, with B Corp certification underway and new production projects in Río Mayo.

Today, 15 years later, we're still here with the same bottle. It's a package people like and recognize; they tell us it's easy to handle, opens well, and doesn't crush easily. Those details add up too. The best part is traveling somewhere and running into your own bottle in places you never imagined. It's not just the water; the story behind the product and the design is what helps us sell it.
